Eza Komla was born December31st 1976 in Aveve, Lomé-TOGO. After his primary and secondary education, he received a scientific level certificate in 2003. Komla studied architecture at IES-FP (Institute of Higher Education and Professional Training) at AUBA where he received a degree in architecture in 2008.
From 2003-2013 Komla has participated in numerous national and international workshops, meetings and collective exhibitions as well as solo exhibitions in Togo and abroad. He obtained some artistic bursaries from several institutions including: AMA (Art MovesAfrica) in 2006; UNESCO-Aschberg 2009 and Goethe Institut of Lomé 2014 and attended the international artistic residencies in ArtBakery, Douala, Cameroon, Belmira, Medellin, Colombia, and Cotonou, Benin. Additionally his work can be found in the collection of Museo Arte Moderno in Medellin Colombia.
He continues work informed by his artistic statement «The March» which provides the artistic identity of his professional career in addition to several ongoing projects and an artistic concept named «TRIANGLE».
