Modibo Diawara is a scriptwriter, film director and producer born in Thies and currently living in Dakar, Senegal. Diawara earned a diploma in film direction from the Film and Television Institute of India in 1991 and a Masters in Modern Literature from University Cheikh Anta Diop. He has produced a number of documentary films within a collection called Africa Success which span the topics of the life of Boubacar Ndiaye, African Hip Hop, and women and the rural African economy. He is the co-founder of Dakar Media Centre SAR and the African Federation of Film Critics (FACC). He has also served as President of the Federation of Professionals in Cinema and Audiovisual as well as the Associated Consultants for Media Education based in Senegal.
