This exhibition led to his participation in an artist residency at the parisian “Cité Internationale des Arts”, for a year in 2010. During this workshop, the owner of the Lazarew Gallery noticed his paintings and exhibited them in Paris and Brussels.
Since then, Rafiy showed a lot of personnal and collective creations in european galleries, as well as in a contemporary art center, in Cameroon (Art Bakery) and for the Benin Biennial of visual arts, in 2012.

Very involved in the artistic life of his country, with his organization “Elowa”, Rafiy initiated in 2010 the first open visit of 45 artists’ studios in Benin, and published the “WABA” catalog presenting them. In 2012, Elowa planed an art residency with the AAB (Artistic Association of Belleville). This cultural sharing gathered together twenty artists from Cotonou, Porto-Novo and Paris.

Today, Rafiy keeps on promoting arts and exhibiting around Europe. His work draws a lot on African culture. He paints about his environment and tries to explore beyond what people see.
